Inter make progression in Pazzini talks

Reports from Italy suggest that Inter are edging closer in their negotiations with Sampdoria to pull off the high-profile signing of Giampaolo Pazzini. The Italian striker didn’t play for the Blucerchiati against Milan this evening.
Inter president Massimo Moratti confirmed a few days ago that he wants to buy Pazzini, but Sampdoria are holding out for a bigger fee that they have currently been offered.
It has been reported that Inter have offered €6 million plus Jonathan Biabiany in exchange for the Italy international, but Sampdoria want at least €12m before they consider selling their prized asset.
Antonio Cassano has already left Sampdoria during this transfer window, so the club would not be keen on losing their other star striker and would need a significant fee to do so.
Pazzini, 26, is wanted to add competition to Inter’s existing strike-force of Diego Milito and Samuel Eto’o. Should he arrive at Inter, he would not be eligible for the Champions League due to Sampdoria’s appearance in the qualifying rounds. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
