Inter prospect Danilo: “A little Maicon, a little Motta”

Sky Sport’s Brazilian correspondent Rosario Triolo has assessed Santos starlet Danilo as the perfect fit for Inter’s needs in an interview with
The Brazilian youngster has attracted the interest of many top teams in Europe, the Nerazzurri in particular, and is said to be a mix of “a little Maicon” and “a little Motta” by the journalist.
Triolo claims Danilo is: “one of the most interesting young Santos and Brazilian footballers in general. His main feature, which is why I think he is ready for Europe, is he adapts easily to many roles.”
The journalist reveals the Brazilian can play in a variety of positions, but is best at right back, where he played in Brazil’s successful South American U20 tournament. Triolo equates Danilo to Javier Zanetti because of his power and pace, and since he is similarly placed in an advanced role on the right flank.
Triolo maintains the winger will not be cheap, since other top players will most likely depart Santos in the summer:
“Under normal conditions [Danilo] would go for 4-5 million euro, but at the moment [Santos] is negotiating the sale of Paulo Henrique Ganso and Neymar and will therefore not be willing to sell him so easily.”
Inter will also have to compete with other teams in the market, as Triolo asserts Portuguese squads Sporting Lisbon and Porto desire the youngster’s signature.
Triolo rounded up the interview by explaining the nature of Brazil’s young talent:
“In Brazil at this time it is a new “spring”. There was a time of crisis between 2006 and 2010 World Cup, but now it’s time for all new foundations.” Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
