Inter set to appeal Eto’o ban

Inter Milan have decided to appeal the three-match ban handed out to striker Samuel Eto’o for headbutting Chievo’s Bostjan Cesar in their game on Sunday. The Sporting Judge announced a three game suspension for the Cameroonian international and charged him with ‘violent conduct’ after consulting video evidence of the incident.
The referees had missed the event during the game and the striker was charged after match officials reported it in their post-match report. The document charging the ex-Barcelona man calls his actions ‘so blatant is in fact the intent to strike the opponent and equally obvious is the force of the impact’.
Inter Coach Rafa Benitez had claimed in his post-game comments that Eto’o ‘was provoked’ and the Nerazzurri hope that this defence will help them reduce the ban handed out.
Eto’os absence causes huge problems for Inter as the team is currently struggling to come to terms with its injuries and had become rdependent on the Cameroonian for scoring. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
