Inter to focus on Ranocchia

Inter have made Andrea Ranocchia their number one transfer objective for January. The Genoa defender who is co-owned by Inter is desperately needed by the club after the season-ending injury to Walter Samuel.
The young Italian international is known to be in Inter’s sights for a long time and the Nerazzurri may decide to buy out the rest of his ownership in January than waiting for the summer.
Inter Sporting Director Marco Branca made the club’s intentions extremely clear a few days ago when he stated, “We will look for a defender to cover Samuel’s absence and nothing else.”
However, Ranocchia is not completely sure about the move as he said he might stay with Genoa for sometime if given a choice. “If Preziosi told me to go to Inter? I’ll say that that I am fine here.”
But from fresh reports emerging from Italy it does seem that the 22-year old will be playing in the black and blue very soon. The fact that he is eligible to play in the Champions League is further incentive for Inter to sign him.
The Nerazzurri will look to close the deal by paying €8 million for the rest of his contract. Reports suggest a meeting between the club officials and Genoa President Enrico Preziosi is set upon Inter’s return for the Club World Cup. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
