Inter weighing up move for Lucas Leiva

An interesting piece of news emanating from England has suggested that Inter’s Rafael Benitez is set to move for Liverpool’s Lucas.
The Spaniard was responsible for luring the Brazilian to Anfield in the summer of 2007 during his time in charge of The Reds.
According to the Mail, the Nerazzurri are weighing up a £5million move for the 23-year old in order to add strength in depth in midfield.
The 3-1 defeat on Tuesday away to Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League has convinced the hierarchies of the club that money must be invested after a relatively quiet summer on the transfer front.
Inter have plenty of options in the middle of the park but with the likes of Zanetti and Cambiasso not getting any younger and question marks over the future of Sulley Muntari, the former Liverpool coach seems to be planning ahead.
