Inzaghi out for the season

Milan striker Filippo Inzaghi has been diagnosed with a lesion to the cruciate ligament in his left knee that will be keep him out for the season, the club confirmed on their website earlier today.
Inzaghi had replaced Alexandre Pato in the game against Palermo last night but limped off the field shortly afterwards after straining his knee. Initial signs had not been good and today the club released the results of his test which confirmed the extent of the injury suffered by the veteran striker.
Inzaghi’s injury comes as another blow for the Rossoneri ahead of the crucial Milan derby on Sunday. Andrea Pirlo picked up a thigh strain during training before last night’s game and Pato also took a knock that forced him to go off.
Both Milan clubs will go into the Derby Della Maddonina with a host of injury problems as Inter have lost Walter Samuel, Thiago Motta, Julio Cesar and Maicon to the infirmary as well. The Rossoneri currently sit at the top of the table three points clear of their city rivals who are in fourth place. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
