Inzaghi to sign new deal despite injury

Milan have confirmed that they will offer a new contract to Filippo Inzaghi that will tie him down for another year, despite the injury that threatened to end his career.
The 37-year-old ruptured his cruciate ligaments at the beginning of November in Milan’s match against Palermo, and was immediately ruled out for the rest of the season.
Due to his age and the severity of the injury, it seemed that Inzaghi’s career could be finished, especially considering that he would be out of contract in the coming summer.
However, Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has given Inzaghi hope by offering to give him another contract for a year. He said: “Inzaghi will absolutely stay at Milan next season, without his goals we would not even be in Friday’s Champions League last 16 draw. Pippo is sure he’ll be able to come back and I’m certain he’ll manage it.”
The veteran striker also revealed his optimistic plans to return to football, saying: “I hope to return before the end of the season. I will finish my career at Milan because they have given me a lot.”
The Rossoneri are currently in negotiations to sign Antonio Cassano to fill the void left by Inzaghi’s injury. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
