Italy drop in FIFA rankings

Italy’s national team have plummeted to 16th in FIFA’s latest world rankings.
The dire World Cup showing under Marcello Lippi would have done little to prevent Italy falling down the rankings, and poor results since Cesare Prandelli took over also contributed.
Prandelli lost his debut, a friendly against Ivory Coast, and other disappointing results include the recent goalless stalemate with Northern Ireland, who are 41st in the rankings. The abandoned qualifier against Serbia also ended up counting against Italy.
In front of Italy are teams such as Slovenia, Norway and Greece, who have nowhere near the same international history as the Azzurri. The rankings are, of course, topped by World and European champions Spain. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
