Juventus close in on Bocchetti signing

Juventus are set to add another Summer signing to their ranks with the capture of Rubin Kazan centre-back Salvatore Bocchetti, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport.
Bocchetti, 24, left Serie A side Genoa for the Russian league in 2010, in a deal worth a reported 15m Euros. However Juve Sporting Director Guiseppe Marotta has now targeted the Azzurri international to reinforce a defence that conceded just two goals less than the relegated Sampdoria last season.
Bocchetti will be lined-up to play in either Giorgio Chiellini’s position in the centre, or as a left-back, and could signal exits for Fabio Grosso, currently not training with the first-team, and Leonardo Bonucci, who has been linked with Russian side Zenit.
The Naples born defender signalled his interest in a return to the Peninsula: “I’m fine at Rubin, I respect the club and manager – Italy however is my country. If a call came from a Serie A side I would consider it. Juventus and Napoli are both big clubs.”
