Juventus close in on Lichsteiner and Bastos

Juventus continue to make inroads in the transfer market as Corriere dello Sport reports that the Old Lady are on the verge of signing full-backs Stephan Lichsteiner and Michel Bastos.
Lazio’s Lichsteiner has been a target for Juve since the end of the season and the paper claims Aquile President Claudio Lotito and Bianconeri director Beppe Marotta have finalised an agreement.
Lazio have been adamant about the selling price for the Swiss which they have set at €12 million, but Marotta may have had a chance to negotiate that at the meeting of the league’s chiefs.
There are suggestions that the Old Lady will also tie up the acquisition of Brazilian Bastos within the coming hours. Bastos has long been linked with the club and his agent claimed: “it will be sorted by the end of the week”
Yesterday, the Bianconeri completed the outright purchases of Alessandro Matri, Fabio Quagliarella, Simone Pepe and Marco Motta and their signing spree is likely to continue. with the announcement that Juventus will have up to €70 million to spend at a recent club board meeting.
