Juventus could be the last stop for Toni

Luca Toni has signalled his intention to retire after he has won some silverware with Juventus. Only then Toni will call time on a career that has been spread over thirteen clubs.
Talking to Il Corriere dello Sport he said “I grew up in Emilia, which is Juventus land, and there was only one faith in my house. Once my father came home with Zibi Boniek’s shirt and that of Michel Platini.”
When asked if he was near retirement he said: “I don’t pose myself this problem. For the moment, I am living my dream and I am thinking about doing well. Winning here would be the maximum. In fact, if I were to win something with Juventus I might retire.”
Toni who is now 33 years of age was brought to Juventus from Genoa in the January transfer window in at attempt to bolster their attacking options. Injury has blighted his start for the club and he has only appeared five times scoring one goal.
Once fit Toni will be looking to recapture some of his best form which saw him score 47 times in 67 games for Fiorentina between 2005 and 2007 starting with Saturday’s huge game with Milan.
