Juventus could re-appoint Fabio Capello

The Gazzetta dello Sport has reported that Juventus could try persuade Fabio Capello to take over at helm. Gigi Del Neri has been given the dreaded ‘vote of confidence’ and is not expected to be at the club much longer if results do not change dramatically.
The England boss is the latest name to be linked with the Juventus post, yesterday Luciano Spalletti was said to be one of the names being considered, however, reports today suggest that Capello is top of the list.
Juventus President Andrea Agnelli is close to Fabio Capello and would like him to come in to turn around his stuttering club. Defeat away at Lecce this weekend saw Agnelli voice his disgust at his team’s performance. Juventus who’s season aim is to qualify for the Champions League this season now lie in sixth spot and are seven points off gaining that coveted place.
Fabio Capello who last managed ‘The Old Lady’ in 2004-06 had previously dismissed any link with Juventus saying that “Have I received a phone call from Turin? No. I’m completely absorbed by my work; I have to think of my work. If Andrea Agnelli asked me to come to Turin in June? I want to remain here (in England) until the European Championship.”
