Juventus in hunt for Porto’s Rolando

Juventus have joined the long list of European clubs in the hunt to sign Porto’s promising defender Rolando, according to Corriere dello Sport.
Juventus have made it known that they want to sign another centre-back in January due to the injury crisis at the club. After being linked with a host of names, Rolando is now being mooted to transfer to Turin.
Rolando, 25, was born in Cape Verde but has spent his whole professional career in Portugal, his adopted nation. Porto signed him in 2006 from Belenenses and the athletic defender has since caught the eye in the Champions League. It is reported that Rolando would cost in the region of 20 million Euros, which could be a stumbling block for Juventus. The Bianconeri face competition from several top clubs around the continent, including Chelsea and Manchester City.
