Juventus keep close eye on South American duo

Juventus have scouts currently sifting through the stars of tomorrow, on show today at the 2011 South American Youth Championships being held in Peru. Tuttomercatoweb.com states the Club has its eye on two players.
With a deal for the ‘next Kaka’, Brazilian Lucas Piazon, apparently very close to completion, i Bianconeri have identified compatriot Diego Mauricio Montano, 19, who plays for Flamengo and the 18-year-old Uruguayan Adrian Luna, as players with the potential to make it at the top level.
Both are attackers, with Montano likened to Didier Drogba and given the nickname of ‘Drogbinha’ by the Flamengo faithful. Sought-after Brazilian Neymar is also at the tournament.
The Turin giants have previously been linked to the 18-year-old, who has also made his full international debut. Santos appears unwilling to sell unless a massive offer comes through and so the two-time European Champions are keen to look elsewhere at the moment.
The Old Lady has kept a presence in the continent during the past few years. Notably, under Alessio Secco’s watch the Club had scouts in South America who went back home with relatively little progression and transfer targets. It was replaced by a new scout team, who regularly scope Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.
