Juventus may go for Di Natale again

Juventus’ search for a striker may lead them to knocking at the doors of Antonio Di Natale once again despite the player having rejected the Bianconeri in the summer.
The Udinese hit-man is currently the leading goalscorer in SerieA with 13 goals and had looked set to join the Old Lady after the Friulani accepted their €5.5 million bid last August.
However, he rejected the move and preferred to stay at Udinese. But it is emerging now that Bianconeri Sporting Director Beppe Marotta may try to bring him to Turin once again.
Juventus have lost Fabio Quagliarella for the rest of the season through injury and despite Luca Toni’s arrival they are lacking the firepower upfront as Amauri and Vincenzo Iaquinta have been struggling this term.
“We intend to find a substitute for Quagliarella. We’ll look to capitalize on the opportunities that present themselves in the transfer market”, Marotta told reporters last night.
It seems unlikely at best that the Di Natale operation will go through but Juventus are keeping their options open. Udinese’s other forward Antonio Floro Flores is also supposed to be of interest to them.
The name most constantly being linked however, is that of Diego Forlan. The Old Lady are keen to sign the Atletico Madrid man but his price-tag of €15 million is proving to be a difficult obstacle.
