Juventus prepared cut squad size in a January revolution

A winter revolution may well be at Juventus’s door this coming January according to Tuttosport. The club are looking for a defender and midfielder, and are willing to let a large number of players, including big names such as Amauri and Luca Toni, leave the club in order to fund any acquisitions.
The list of players who might leave is long and talented. Almost an entire team from goalkeeper to strikers may well be put up for sale. They include: Alex Manninger, Marco Motta, Frederik Sørensen, Fabio Grosso, Milos Krasic, Luca Marrone, Eljero Elia, Luca Toni, Amauri, and Vincenzo Iaquinta. It’s not envisaged that all of these players will leave at the same time but, for each of them, an exit strategy has been considered.
In particular, all eyes are on the attackers in the list. Amauri hasn’t completely discounted a return to Palermo but would prefer a move to Milan, and has options available in England. Since his fraught relationship with Juventus broke down completely over the summer, it’s anticipated that there will be a parting of the ways resulting in money for the club and a return to action for Amauri after months of isolation.
Luca Toni’s agent has initiated contact with Parma and Fiorentina. Interest from other clubs is likely to be curtailed by the size of fee necessary. Vincenzo Iaquinta’s lawyer has indicated interest in his client from Russia and South America.
