Juventus thinking about Berbatov

According to the Daily Telegraph, Dimitar Berbatov is a January target for Juventus. The Bulgarian’s contract expires in the summer of 2012 and it is thought that the Bianconeri could take advantage of the current tensions between the player and his club.
The only stumbling block would be the fee. Berbatov is Manchester United’s all time record signing and should he leave, he will not be allowed to go on the cheap. Reports have also suggested a player plus cash deal with Gianluigi Buffon who has been linked with a move to the Red Devils.
The striker started the season in blistering form, six goals in the first month, but he has not netted in his last 10 games and this weekend against Stoke, Alex Ferguson preferred to deploy youngsters Federico Macheda and Gabriel Obertan. The 29 year old may himself feel he is being squeezed out at his current club and may welcome a move abroad.
Juventus are rumoured to be looking for a striker in January as forwards Iaquinta and Amauri have struggled with injuries and poor form of late.
