Juventus told Quagliarella will not come cheap

Juventus will not be able to sign Fabio Quagliarella for a discounted fee if they choose to make his loan deal permanent, as Napoli will hold out for their asking price.
Quagliarella is currently on a season-long loan at Juve from his hometown club Napoli, and there is an agreement in place for the striker to remain in Turin beyond this season.
But the 27-year-old’s recent knee injury has cast a permanent move into doubt, and has been mooted that the Bianconeri will only pursue his signature if Napoli’s demands decrease.
But Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis said: “I won’t gift Quagliarella to Juve. Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta signed a contract. The option price is already fixed and it will remain that way.
“I am not stupid. I wouldn’t make a gift of Quagliarella,”
he concluded.
The Italy striker is Juve’s top goalscorer this season.
