Juventus won’t get Micah Richards

Sky Sports understands that Manchester City have no intention of selling Micah Richards, despite Juventus’ apparent interest in the young English defender.
Richards hasn’t been guaranteed a first-team position this season at City due to the club’s extravagant spending with the likes of Pablo Zabaleta and Jerome Boateng being preferred at right-back.
Juve have allegedly shown an interest in the last couple of days to loan Richards for the remainder of the season, although City have not even considered accepting the offer.
The Bianconeri have already brought in Andrea Barzagli to bolster their centre-back options but they felt Richards could offer them something at right-back.
However, the 22-year-old will be staying with his hometown club to fight for his place meaning Juve will have to look elsewhere if they plan on beating the clock to bring in a new defender before the deadline tonight.
Manchester City’s refusal is the latest in a series of disappointments for the Old Lady in January as they have been unable to offload a struggling Amauri, and Cagliari have blocked their attempts to sign Alessandro Matri.
