Lazio continue Ziegler chase

Lazio are still keen on signing Sampdoria’s want-away Reto Ziegler, and face less competition for his signature because Milan have claimed the asking price is too high for them to make a bid.
It has been widely reported that Sampdoria are ready to cash in on the unhappy left-back, who looked likely to join Milan only for a deal to collapse due to his price. Lazio, though, have not been put off by the fee that Sampdoria are asking for.
Lazio president Claudio Lotito said: “Ziegler is a perfect match for Stephan Lichtsteiner and they play together in the Swiss national team.
“This is an advantage for both the players and the team. However, current Ziegler is a Sampdoria player.
“It is our general policy not to make moves against the desire of the club. If Sampdoria want to sell, then we are ready, otherwise he can stay there.”

Lotito has refused to confirm that he will offer Pasquale Foggia in part-exchange for Ziegler: “There are many options when it comes to exchanges, but we haven’t discussed it yet.”
Unless Milan have a change of heart and enter the race for the 25-year-old, Lazio are expected to complete a deal in the next week. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
