Lazio midfielder Brocchi turned down Milan

Lazio veteran Cristian Brocchi had admitted that an opportunity had presented itself in the summer for a possible return to the San Siro with Milan.
The 34-year old instead opted to sign a one year contract extension with the Aquile following a successful two year stint – where in his debut season helped aid the club’s triumph in the Coppa Italia.
The agile anchor man saw no reason to leave the capital as he has a steady rapport with his current employers.
Speaking to Insidefutbol, he said. “This summer there was the opportunity to return to Milan. But it seemed right to take a step back. In Rome I’m fine. I have a good relationship with the club and I’ve extended my contract by one year.”
Brocchi who only has one solitary international cap to his name with the Azzurri, paid tribute to his team’s magnificent start in Serie A and praised the spirit of the players.
“Our start? We have put aside personal interests and approached every game in the right spirit. We have become a real team.” Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
