Legrottaglie joins Milan

Nicola Legrottaglie’s agent has confirmed that the veteran defender has left Juventus and signed a short-term contract with Milan.
The 34-year-old revealed last night that he was on the verge of a shock transfer to the Rossoneri, and it now seems this move has gone ahead, with Legrottaglie signing a contract until the end of the season after Juve agreed to release him for no fee.
His agent Alessandro Moggi was spotted in Milan and said: “Legrottaglie has just signed a contract.”
The Rossoneri fear that Alessandro Nesta’s shoulder injury will keep him on the sidelines for a significant period of time, meaning an experienced centre-back was needed at short notice.
Thiago Silva is expected to be moved from centre-back to midfield in order to ease an injury crisis in the middle of the pitch, so Legrottaglie should immediately fill in at centre-back.
So far this season at Juve, Legrottaglie has seen very little action due to the presence of Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci. The arrival of Andrea Barzagli pushed him even further down the pecking order, but he has managed to secure a switch to the Serie A leaders.
