Leonardo: “A match to be experienced”

Goran Pandev scored a last gasp winner against Bayern Munich last night to take Inter through to the quarter finals of the Champions League. The match itself left Nerazzurri boss Leonardo drained and saying that the game could only be experienced and not explained.
Speaking to Sky Sport Italia Leonardo opened his interview with the words: “I’m dead, they even tackled me from behind on that third goal…” looking physically shaken went on to say, “Explaining this match tonight is going to be very difficult. We won and it was a victory with all of our hearts.”
The Nerazzurri boss was still in the moods for jokes however and when talking about Julio Cesar’s uncharacteristic error he said: “It was all planned out. We calculated that the mistake would give us the boost we needed… (he said smiling). And to see Julio crying at the end of the match was touching, tears of spontaneous joy. A win like this can’t be explained, it can only be experienced.”
The Nerazzurri showed will also take extra satisfaction knowing that they are the soul representatives from Italy left in the competition. Milan have already crashed out to Tottenham in this stage whilst Roma were beaten by Shakhtar Donetsk
