Leonardo confident Inter will beat Bayern

Inter Coach Leonardo maybe travelling to Munich one goal down from the first leg, but he is full of confidence that his team will progress.
At a press conference before tonight’s crunch match the Brazilian said he was confident in the mental strength of his players: “The players are really up for this one. They’re looking forward to the night. It’s always a privilege to play in matches like this, which are like finals, but it’s even better to win them. This is the atmosphere the lads are living through, they know the historical importance of these games. The first leg could have produced a different result, so it would be no surprise if Inter won this one. Tomorrow night we’ll be starting on level terms and I’m optimistic because I know the strength and spirit of this group.”
Inter travel to Munich knowing that they do not only have a duty towards their own fans but also towards the rest of the country as they are the only Italian team left in the competition. With Roma and Milan both being eliminated at this stage it is left to the Nerazzurri once again to fly the flag in European competition.
