Leonardo dismisses Roma speculation

Former Milan coach Leonardo has cooled speculation linking him with the Roma job.
Current il Lupi coach Claudio Ranieri has came under intense scrutiny following the club’s catastrophic start to the campaign.
The Roman club sit in the bottom half of Serie A and were defeated at home to FC Basel this past week in the Champions League.
Former Rossoneri coach Leonardo has been out of work following his mutual release from the club in May despite leading them into the Champions League. He has dismissed the speculation and believes it would be detrimental to his ties with Milan to even consider making the move – but did state it could interest him in the future.
“Right now it would betray my history, my past in red and black,” said the former Milan player and coach.
“Little time has passed. I am still too tied to Milan. Now I would find it too much effort to work in Italy – maybe in the future, but not now.”
