Leonardo distances himself from Roma speculation

Former Milan coach Leonardo has moved quickly to distance himself from rumours linking him as the successor to Claudio Ranieri in the Roma hot seat.
Speaking on Sky Sport 24, the former Brazilian international explained that: “at this moment I am tired from coaching in Italy”. He continued by giving another reason why he would be reluctant to take up the challenge in Rome: “I have too strong a love for my ex-team Milan, I would feel like I was betraying them if I was to work elsewhere in Italy”.
Leonardo is a legend to the tifosi of the Rossoneri, having spent 12 years at the club as a player, director and head coach. There have been strong rumours in the peninsula that he would be the replacement for Ranieri should the capital club decide to change coach. It was even reported that president Rosella Sensi had already held preliminary talks with the Brazilian World Cup winner.
