Leonardo is wary of tough Schalke test for Inter

Inter Coach Leonardo has made it clear that his team will respect Schalke and are very aware of the threat they can cause. The Brazilian is also keen to bounce back after the derby defeat to Milan.
Speaking in a press conference before the match Leonardo said: “Schalke have reached the quarter-finals, and even if they aren’t doing so well in the league, we all know how enthusiastic they are and this will make them difficult to play against. Schalke have changed coach but I don’t think their style of play will have changed much and they are playing well.”
When asked of the threat posed by Raul and his prolific record in the Champions League Leonardo answered: “He’s a player with an incredible history and, judging by his decision to change, he’s taken up such a different challenge with so much enthusiasm. He’s one of the symbols of Schalke’s great cavalcade.”
The Brazilian was also quizzed as to whether defeat in the derby meant that the title race was over: “It’s not that I think we are in the running to win everything; we are still in the running for everything. Losing one match doesn’t change anything, otherwise we wouldn’t even have got this far. This team have pride and that pride says they are there, always there and will take this competition on, in the knowledge that each game is going to be tough, just like it was last year.”
