Leonardo to be unveiled as Inter Coach after Christmas

Leonardo will be announced as the Inter Coach early next week, according to reports coming out of Italy as well as Nerazzurri President Massimo Moratti’s statements.
Though there has been no official confirmation of the appointment by either party, there have been clear indications that the Brazilian will be the next man in charge of the European champions.
Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Moratti is eager to meet Leonardo face to face before formalizing an agreement, which is likely to take place either on the 26th or 27th of December.
Talking to journalists outside the Club’s offices, the Inter patron said: “Today is not the day. Something will happen after Christmas, from 27 onwards. We want to start anew by the 29th.”
Upon being questioned if Leonardo’s potential appointment as Inter’s new Coach would be seen as a snub to Milan, Moratti gave the biggest signal that his mind was set on the Brazilian.
“I never make this kind of reasoning, I do not live out of spite. And I would be disappointed if it were interpreted in this way.”
It is now being said that Leonardo may not be the only ex-Milanisti to join Inter. Kaka is being touted to return to Milan – but for the Nerazzurri rather than the Rossoneri. Inter’s good relations with Jose Mourinho are believed to be a factor if Kaka does choose to join Inter.
