Lichtsteiner to Juventus today

Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting the deal that will see Stephan Lichtsteiner move from Lazio to Juventus will be completed today. Should the contract details be finalised today, Lichtsteiner will be in Turin tomorrow to undergo his medical exam.
Only minor details separate the Swiss international from the move north, with the Milan-based newspaper also reporting Lazio’s €12m price has not been reached, with the two clubs agreeing to settle for a fee of €9.5m.
The Old Lady has been searching for a right-back due to the troubles it has faced in that position in recent seasons. Marco Motta failed to establish himself last season and despite being purchased from Udinese, he is expected to be moved on.
Meanwhile, Lazio has stepped up their chase to replace Lichtsteiner and are currently in talks with Palermo for Mattia Cassani. The Italian international, whose Palermo contract expires in 2013, has been valued at €7m.
If they cannot reached a deal with the Sicilians, the capital club will once again try for Genoa’s Abdoulay Konko or Gabriel Tamas of West Bromwich Albion. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
