Lippi linked with Ukraine job

The Ukraine national team want to appoint Marcello Lippi as their new manager, according to the press in the Eastern European nation.
Lippi won the 2006 World Cup with Italy before retiring, only to return to the Azzurri bench for last summer’s 2010 tournament in South Africa. After that ended in disaster, Lippi has been out of work but has never officially retired.
There are now rumours suggesting Lippi will holds talks to become Ukraine’s manager. The country is hosting Euro 2012 with Poland, and have allegedly arranged a meeting with Lippi in Geneva this week.
Ukraine currently have Yuri Kalitvinsev in charge of their national side, but he is on a temporary basis and so a new manager will need to be appointed before they co-host the upcoming European Championships.
