Corriere dello Sport understands that Liverpool have identified Italian international Giuseppe Rossi as a transfer target for January.
Liverpool’s disastrous start to the season means boss Roy Hodgson is keen to recruit new faces in the next transfer window, and Rossi is high on his wish-list. A bid of around 25 million Euros to Spanish side Villareal could be sufficient to land his services.
Rossi, who was raised in the United States, began his career with Manchester United before moving to Villareal. The 23-year-old has 17 international caps and three international goals after preferring to represent Italy than the USA.
