Maicon wants to stay at Inter

Inter’s Douglas Maicon has repeatedly been linked to a move to Real Madrid to re-join former Coach Jose Mourinho. Maicon has spoken out about this situation dismissing any notion of him moving to Spain insisting that he wants to stay with the Nerazzurri.
Speaking to Globoesporte.com Maicon said: “Staying in Italy? This is what I really want, and the will to do so is always growing as last year we won the treble. I am not thinking of returning to Brazil either as my objective is to remain in Europe.”
Maicon was signed from Monaco in 2006 and has gone on to play 141 time for the Nerazzurri and has scored 13 goals. He has been credited as being one of the best right backs in world football and at 29 years of age it looks as though he wants to finish his playing career at the Giuseppe Meazza.
Meanwhile Real Madrid and Barcelona are believed to be battling it out for the signature of the ‘new Miacon’ 20-year-old Bryan Carrasco, a Chilean currently playing in his homeland for Audax Italiano. According to Cadena Ser the two Spanish giants will make him their top priority when the transfer market opens.
