Mangia sacked at Palermo as Mutti comes in

Palermo Coach Devis Mangia has been sacked by club President Maurizio Zamparini after the 2-0 Sicilian derby defeat away at Catania on Sunday.
Sky Sport is reporting the former Palermo youth team boss has fallen on his sword after yet another defeat away from home. The Stadio Renzo Barbera outfit has taken just two points on the road and are yet to score away from their home stadium. The final straw for fiery President Maurizio Zamparini appears to have been the lacklustre display in Catania.
Mangia, who only replaced Stefano Pioli late in pre-season, will be replaced by Bortolo Mutti. The 57-year-old had a spell at Bari last season, but the club was relegated.
It would not be his first time on the Palermo bench, having been in charge during the 2001/02 season.
