Marchetti completes Lazio medical

Former Cagliari goalkeeper Federico Marchetti has completed his medical with Lazio this morning, according to Corriere dello Sport.
After spending a year on the sidelines with Cagliari, Marchetti could not have been happier to be in Rome finishing this deal:
“For me this is the end of a nightmare. I chose Lazio because here there is an important project in a large venue, so I always hoped for this solution: it is a great chance.”
The Italy international arrived in Rome two days ago. He has been the desire of Lazio President Claudio Lotito since former ‘keeper Fernando Muslera decided to leave for Galatasaray this summer.
Lazio has agreed to pay Marchetti’s buyout clause with Cagliari, a fee of €5.2M, on top of a yearly salary of €1M plus bonuses for the player.
Marchetti eased doubts of being out of form due to a year of inactivity: “I have a great enthusiasm, I’m fine physically, as I always trained to play because I always had a clear conscience and I’m ready to get started.”
Following his medical, Marchetti will be presented to the Biancocelesti faithful sometime today. The goalkeeper begins his Lazio career with one large hope: “The national team is my goal.” Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
