Marchisio happy at Juventus

Claudio Marchisio has told Gazzetta dello Sport he would like to respect his contract with Juventus and would welcome Giuseppe Rossi with ‘open arms’.
The Turin-born, Juve youth product was identified by Roma director Walter Sabatini as the only player he would accept as part of the proposed Mirko Vucinic deal. However, the player is happy where he is.
“I am happy to be regarded by the Giallrossi, but I do not have a contract with them and anyway I just signed a new five-year contract with Juve.”
Juventus have also been linked with Marchisio’s Italian international teammate Rossi who is currently at Villarreal. And Marchisio stated he would be more than welcome in Turin.
“I have spoken with Giuseppe on the telephone; it would be nice to have him here. I would welcome him with open arms.
“However, it will be the club who makes the evaluation – anyway I am convinced that a top player in that role will arrive.”
