Marchisio happy with his role

Claudio Marchisio scored the winning goal in the Derby d’Italia on Saturday to take Juventus back to the top of the table and believes the team system is helping him greatly this season.
Mirko Vucinic put the Bianconeri into an early lead, but Maicon replied for the hosts. Five minutes later, Marchisio combined with Alessandro Matri to slot his effort past Luca Castellazzi and score his fourth goal of the season, matching his 2010/11 total.
‘Il Principino’ told the club’s official website Juventus.comthat lining up in the three man midfield alongside Arturo Vidal and Andrea Pirlo is allowing him to assist the team up front: “It’s down to the system. With three midfielders I’m able to break forward more and I’m fresher when I get in and around the penalty area.”
He also had penalty appeals waved away following a tangle with Castellazzi: “The referee said that as far as he was concerned I had already shot on goal and that was why he didn’t blow for a penalty… the most important thing is that the game went well.”
Marchisio went on to praise Coach Antonio Conte, who has brought a greater spirit and resilience to this Old Lady side: “I lack the victories the Coach has had. He’s doing a great job, he never gives up even during warm-downs. His advice has been particularly precise as far as I’m concerned, given that he played in my role.”
Milan temporarily held first after their win in Rome and Marchisio thinks they will be a threat as he also looked ahead to Juve’s match against Napoli: “They are a great team and reigning champions. They are getting back to stringing victories together and therefore there is a need to remain alert, also because the schedule is tough and after Genoa, Fiorentina and Inter we’ve now got to face Napoli” Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
