Matri has faith in ‘Project Juve’

Despite recent results Alessandro Matri is positive that Juventus can return to her former glories. The ex-Cagliari striker has spoken about his faith in the direction that the team is moving in.
Speaking to the Corriere dello Sport, Matri dismissed this season’s poor form stating that “This is a transitional year. However, there is a base to build on. The project is solid and ambitious.”
Juventus have lost three and drawn one of their last four and are desperate to pick up some momentum. Matri however, has been one of the bright sparks in ‘The Old Lady’s’ bleak season so far.
“I didn’t expect to make such an impact. On a personal level, I’m very happy with how things are going.”
Matri joined Juventus from Cagliari in the January transfer window although having interest from many other clubs he was always going to choose Juve.
“I was told of their interest in the last week of the window. I remember deadline day, I was just glued to the television and my mobile phone.”
Juventus will be looking to put a halt to their poor form against Brescia this weekend. This will be no easy talk as the latter managed a creditable draw against Champions Inter last week. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
