Matri to recover for Lecce trip

Juventus’ in-form striker, Alessandro Matri, should recover in time for next weekend’s clash at Lecce, according to juventus.com.
The striker underwent tests on his injured ribs and it is believed he will be fit to play.
“Alessandro Matri underwent radiological tests last night, following an injury to his rib area, picked up during the game against Inter. The tests have shown a slight tear of a small intercostal muscle, which will be recoverable in the week”, stated the Club’s website.
Fresh from a Derby d’Italia victory which will look to re-ignite their season, the Old Lady will be in a confident mood ahead of the trip and look set to do battle with new hero Matri on the field.
The ex-Cagliari player has scored three goals in as many appearances for i Bianconeri, with his header sailing past Julio Cesar in the Inter goal on Sunday night. During the second half he visibly slowed as pain to his rib area meant he was a virtual spectator for the final 20 minutes. However, Luigi Delneri had used all his substitutions by that stage and so Matri bravely fought on. He noted the Derby decider was a goal he dreamt about.
