Mazzarri furious with “disgraceful” referees in Liverpool defeat

After seeing his team crumble in the final 15 minutes of their Europa League clash against Liverpool at Anfield, Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri expressed his anger in the way the French referee Fautrel and his assistants managed the contest.
Speaking to Rete 4, the tactician described their performance as: “a disgrace”. He continued his tirade by stating that: “I admit that we lost the game because we made vital mistakes, but the officials made decisions that conditioned the match”.
It seemed as though the Vesuviani would come away from Anfield with all three points but a Steven Gerrard inspired second-half showing from the English side, blew Mazzari’s side away in the closing stages. The Italian’s were lucky to finish the game with 11 men as a horror tackle by defender Salvatore Aronica on David N’Gog went unpunished by the French officials.
