Mazzarri: “Game with Steaua is now a final”

After his side’s thrilling 3-3 draw against Utrecht in Holland on Thursday evening, Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri told the Corriere Dello Sport that the final group game at the San Paolo against Steaua Bucharest will be like a cup final.
The 49-year-old explained that: “I am unhappy that we could not win the game tonight as that would have meant that we only needed a draw at home to Steaua.”
“Now the game will be like a cup final but playing at our home stadium, we hope we can achieve a victory together”
Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani scored a sensational hattrick as the Vesuviani came back from 3-1 down to take a share of the points but it leaves Napoli needing a win in their final group game.
Mazzarri himself was sent off at half-time for protesting about a penalty that was not awarded to his team at the end of the opening 45 minutes.
If the Partenopei fail to make it through to the last 32 it would mean that there would be no Italian representatives left in the competition after Juventus, Palermo and Sampdoria all bowed out. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
