Melo to miss Juventus encounter with Chievo

Juventus midfielder Felipe Melo has failed in his bid to be fit for tonight’s match against Chievo.
The Bianconeri are still in with a chance of qualifying for next season’s Champions League, but must win all remaining matches to be in with a shot, starting with the Chievo clash. The Old Lady currently sits in seventh, six points from fourth.
With Melo’s absence due to a left calf problem, Claudio Marchisio is expected to start alongside Alberto Aquilani in the center of midfield, which will give Simone Pepe a berth on the left-hand side of the midfield four.
In other injury news, has reported Italian international Leonardo Bonucci is in the squad despite not being fully fit with an ankle injury, while Jorge Martinez is still sidelined.
Chievo go to Turin knowing a draw will be enough to secure their Serie A status for another season. The travelling squad does not include Davide Moscardelli or Luciano, both injured. They are expected to continue with their usual 4-3-1-2 formation.
Possible Starting XI’s:
Juventus (4-4-2): Buffon; Motta, Barzagli, Chiellini, Grosso; Krasic, Aquilani, Marchisio, Pepe; Del Piero, Matri. Coach: Del Neri.
Chievo (4-3-1-2): Sorrentino; Sardo, Andreolli, Cesar, Mantovani; Fernandes, Rigoni, Constant; Bogliacino; Pellissier, Thereau. Coach: Pioli. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
