Menez cools Roma transfer talk

The agent of Roma midfielder Jeremy Menez has deferred speculation of the player’s departure from Trigoria until a later date. Speaking to Calcomercato.it, Alain Migliacco said:
“Sunday (Menez) played the whole game and I think it’s premature to talk about staying or leaving.”
The temperamental Frenchman, who has seen his playing time diminished under new Giallorossi Coach Vincenzo Montella, played the full 90 minutes in the team’s loss to Juventus on Sunday. Though Menez was given confidence by the start, Montella had some choice words for the winger after the match:
“I do expect something more from Vucinic and Menez. They tried hard, but when you play with three strikers you cannot afford to waste chances.”
Menez is under contract with Roma until August 2012, but it is uncertain whether he will stay once the summer transfer window opens. As new owners take control of the club, Migliacco agreed that his client would be sorted after the transition:
“In Rome, new leadership and ownership is coming and very soon we will start to talk about the situation of Jeremy.”
