Messi thanks Moratti for interest, but says he is Barca for life

Barcelona’s star forward Lionel Messi has dented Inter hopes of ever seeing him in the Nerazzurri jersey as he told Sky Italia that he would like to close his career with the Blaugrana.
Inter President Massimo Moratti has been a huge fan of the Argentine for a long time and has suggested many times that he would love to see the two-time World Player of the Year at Milan.
However, Messi has now claimed that despite being honoured by the interest in him from all quarters, he would prefer to close out his career at Barcelona and if he moves, it will only be back to Argentina.
“My goal is to always stay in Barcelona, I would finish my career at Barca and then, perhaps, fulfill my dream of being able to play in Argentina. I don’t think I can ever move to Madrid or any other club.
“Today, I am saying that I would play here forever, but I also know that you can never be sure of what happens in the career of a player. I thank Moratti for always speaking very highly of me, I am glad that someone so important as so much consideration for me.”

Messi’s father has already stated that if the 23-year old was to switch clubs in Europe, then Inter would be the first in line. Moratti had successfully snared Ronaldo from Barcelona when the Brazilian was at his peak, but the chances of that happening with Messi seem remote. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
