Mexes Roma exit puts Milan on alert

Roma defender Phillipe Mexes is set to leave the capital club at the end of the season according to Calcio Mercato.
The French international centre back today stated his intention to move away from the Giallorossi after seven years with the club.
Speaking to reporters, he said: “I am leaving Roma after seven unforgettable years. That decision has been made. I am making a lifestyle choice and will leave at the end of the season.
“I had my life at Roma, but I also have other personal issues that prompt me to make this decision. I am very close to this club, but I have to think about other aspects.”

Asked about the speculation linking him with Milan, Mexes responded: “Milan? I do not know; I haven’t decided yet. There is so much talk about it, so probably yes.”
Mexes underwent knee surgery on Monday after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament in Roma’s 2-0 loss to Juventus at the weekend, and will be out of action for at least four months. As a consequence, the mercurial defender may well have played his last game for the Giallorossi. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
