Mexes to Milan: “The Champions League is my goal”

In his first interview as a recognized AC Milan player, Philippe Mexes expressed his desire to win a Champions League.
Mexes, adorned on the cover of France Football magazine in a Rossoneri jersey, excitedly exclaimed what his new team means to him:
“Milan represents excellence in Italy, a symbol, an identity, a brand. Milan are a reference for anyone and the team corresponds to my ambitions.”
The former Giallorossi man spoke on the transfer and ambitions for the future with the Rossoneri:
“I was free during the winter and I decided to leave Roma. I have considered all the criteria, sporting and personal and I knew that I would be playing for Milan in two or three years.”
In fact, the French centre back claims he actually urged Roma to sell him last summer, in an effort to gain the club maximum profit for his sale:
“When I told [Rosella Sensi] to sell me, she told me that they do not sell family members. I was very impressed. For seven years I have felt Roman.
“Roma has been my second home; I grew up with Totti, De Rossi, Aquilani, who are more than just teammates.”

Speaking more on his new team, Mexes lavished the Serie A champions with praise:
“It is a society that cultivates winning, belongs to a higher dimension, as Manchester United, Barcelona, and Real Madrid. I’m going to win…The Champions League is my goal.”
Mexes will play his last game for Roma against Sampdoria on Sunday where a win for the Giallorossi will give them a place in the Europa League. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
