Migliaccio ecstatic with Coppa semi-final win

Giulio Migliaccio was delighted with victory over Milan in the Coppa Italia semi-final second leg, a win that sees Palermo through to the final.
Palermo had the advantage after a 2-2 draw in the first leg in Milan and took a two-goal lead last night. Migliaccio grabbed the opener with Cesare Bovo extending the lead. A late Zlatan Ibrahimovic strike proved only a consolation in a 4-3 aggregate triumph.
“It is a great joy for our squad and for all the fans, especially to win against a great opponent. Personally, it was a dream to be able to play in an important final with this shirt. We put in a great performance and we are very happy,” Migliaccio told Rai Sport.
The Sicilians will face the winner of the second semi-final between Roma and Inter, with the final to be played at the Stadio Olimpico on May 29th. Migliaccio says Palermo will give it their all in the final: “It will certainly be difficult, but we will do our best.”
Palermo are through to the final for the first time since 1979, and the team haven’t won a major trophy in their history. The win also grants them a berth in the Europa League next season.
