Mihajlovic won’t quit Fiorentina

Fiorentina’s under-pressure manager Sinisa Mihajlovic has insisted to Corriere della Sera that he will not resign from his job regardless of his disappointing start.
The Viola are 17th with just five points from six matches, leading to question marks about Mihajlovic’s future. However, the Serb has refused to walk away. He said: “I know how the world works and the fact that it’s easier to replace one person than 11. But my conscience is clear. I work with passion and give my best. I feel I have support behind me. But if they were to sack me, I would have to accept it. One thing is certain, I will not resign.”
“It’s a mental problem. I confess that I expected a better start from my team but I have not lost faith. We are in debt to our fans and will turn things around.”
Fiorentina, who played Champions League football last season, lost their overachieving Coach Cesare Prandelli to the Italian national team after the World Cup, and Mihajlovic took over after impressing with Catania.
