Milan brace themselves for Bale-storm

Milan have been drawn against Tottenham Hotspur in the first knock-out round of the Champions League, while there will also be a re-match of last season’s final as Inter face Bayern Munich.
The Rossoneri will be wary of what Tottenham – and particularly Gareth Bale – can do after watching them rip apart their city rivals Inter during the group stages. Bale already has a hat-trick to his name at the San Siro this season and Milan will know that the speedy winger will take some stopping.
Inter have been paired with much more familiar opposition, as they defeated Bayern to complete a prestigious Treble last May in the final of the competition. This year both sides have been shadows of their former selves, and Inter will be needing Diego Milito to return to form for the two-legged tie. He scored twice in last year’s final but has struggled ever since.
Roma, meanwhile, were the first name out of the hat and will play Shakhtar Donetsk, who have never played a knock-out match in the Champions League before. However, Roma have to be careful against the 2009 UEFA Cup winners as they have been beaten by them before.
Arsenal against Barcelona is the glamour tie of this round, while elsewhere Carlo Ancelotti’s Chelsea will face Copenhagen. Manchester United will play Marseille, Valencia will play Schalke, and Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid take on Lyon. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
