Milan chase young Argentine striker

AC Milan’s hunt to replace their injured veteran striker Filippo Inzaghi could be taking them to South America. Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri is desperate to fill the void left by damaged cruciate ligament victim Inzaghi.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, the Rossoneri are considering turning their attentions to River Plate youngster Rogelio Funes Mori after being rebuffed in their pursuit of Cagliari hotshot Alessandro Matri.
Want-away Sampdoria forward Antonio Cassano and Bologna’s No 9 Marco Di Vaio are thought to be under consideration, although it is latest star to come out of Argentina that is said to excite Allegri the most.
Funes Mori began his career in Central America with FC Dallas, but returned to his homeland in 2009 with River. After a string of impressive performances from the substitute’s bench, the 19-year-old has become a vital cog in los Millonarios squad, scoring nine goals from 37 appearances.
Such form has reportedly attracted interest from some of Europe’s elite with the likes of Manchester City, Juventus, Fiorentina, Valencia and Benfica all credited with an interest in the centre forward.
River are bracing themselves for a January bid for Mori, having supposedly set an asking price of €15m (£12.7m) for their prized asset. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
