Milan Sporting Director Ariedo Braida has admitted that the club are watching Ajax and Holland defender Gregory van der Wiel.
The Rossoneri are searching for reinforcements in the full-back positions, and van der Wiel is one of Europe’s best young prospects.
Braida told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf: “We’ve been keeping tabs on Gregory van der Wiel for a few months now and he has convinced us of his qualities.”
“However, our priority now is to sign a new attacker. We won’t make a move for Van der Wiel any time soon.”
The 22-year-old would cost in the region of €15 million should Milan pursue a deal with Ajax at the end of the season.
